Vegan Burgers: 3 Delicious Home-made Recipes

1- Lentil and Quinoa burger garnished with Mushrooms:

– This protein-rich vegetable steak will make your mouth water, that’s for sure.

A- Ingredients:

For 6 servings:

– 85 g of Quinoa.

– 1 large can (540 g) of cooked lentils, washed with clean water.

– 50 g of breadcrumbs.

– 1 egg, lightly beaten.

– 2 cloves of garlic, chopped.

– 2 teaspoons of ground cumin coffee.

– 6 g of fresh coriander.

– The juice of half a squeezed lemon.

– 60 g of crushed nuts.

– 1 tablespoon of butter.

– 225 g of button mushrooms, minced.

– 6 cl of white wine dry.

– 2 teaspoons of vegetable oil.

– 6 whole-grain hamburger buns.

B- Preparation:

– Pour the quinoa in a saucepan and add 25 cl of water. Bring the water to a boil and let it simmer for 12 minutes.

– Then let the quinoa cool down a bit.

– In a large container, mix half the lentils + breadcrumbs+ egg + garlic + cumin + coriander + lemon juice and cooked quinoa.

– Add salt and pepper according to your tastes.

– Then pour everything into your food processor or blender. Add the rest of the lentils, the crushed nuts and mix by pulsations to incorporate all the ingredients. Shape the mixture into 6 beautiful patties.

– Preheat your oven to 180 ° C. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a large skillet. Add the mushrooms and brown them over medium heat for 5 minutes, while mixing regularly.

– Add some pomegranate juice and cook for an extra 5 minutes.

– Finally, brush the patties with a little oil and grill them in the oven, 4 minutes on each side. Serve the burgers in whole-grain bread, garnished with your mushrooms.

2- Burger with Black Beans and Oatmeal:

– Most people have oatmeal in their kitchen. Guess what, you can use them to add a perfect texture to this classical black bean burger recipe.

A- Ingredients:

For 6 servings:

– 1 large can (540 g) of black beans, washed with clear water.

– 100 g of chopped mushrooms.

– 20 g of oatmeal.

– 2 cloves of chopped garlic.

– 1 lightly beaten egg.

– 1 tablespoon of ground cumin.

– 1 pinch of ground black pepper.

– 2 teaspoons of vegetable oil.

– 6 whole-grain hamburger buns.

– 6 tablespoons of strong mustard.

– 1 tomato, sliced.

– 60 g of baby spinach.

B- Preparation:

– Preheat your oven to 180 ° C. Put half of the black beans in your food processor or in your blender. Add the mushrooms + oatmeal + garlic + egg + cumin and pepper.

– Then, mix everything together well.

– Add the rest of the black beans and mix them in pulses until they are well incorporated into the mixture.

– Make 6 beautiful patties, which you brush with some vegetable oil.

– Grill the patties in the oven for 4 to 5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown.

– Serve your vegan burgers on your grilled hamburger buns, garnished with mustard, tomatoes and some baby spinach. A pure delight.

3- Stuffed Portobello Mushroom Burger, Topped with Caramelized Onions:

– With ingredients like bread, mozzarella, and brown sugar and balsamic vinegar frosting, you can challenge anyone not to love this vegetarian recipe.

A- Ingredients:

For 4 portions:

– 1 tablespoon of butter.

– 2 thinly sliced yellow onions.

– 1 tablespoon of brown sugar.

– 1 teaspoon of balsamic vinegar.

– 8 large Portobello mushrooms.

– 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.

– 1 half eggplant cut into thin rings.

– 85 g roasted red peppers.

– 115 g of light mozzarella, sliced.

– 1 large slice of bread.

B- Preparation:

– Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat.

– Then add the onions and mix for 4 to 5 minutes, until they become transparent.

– Add brown sugar + balsamic vinegar and reduce your heat level.

– Cover the pan with a lid and let it for 30 minutes, while mixing occasionally.

– Meanwhile, preheat your oven to 180 ° C.

– Remove the stems from the Portobello mushrooms and brush with some vegetable oil. Salt and pepper the mushrooms according to your tastes.

– Grill the eggplant slices in the oven, 2 minutes on each side, then set aside.

– Grill the mushrooms in the oven, foot side down, for 5 to 6 minutes.

– Then turn them over and cook for an extra 5 minutes.

– Stuff 4 mushrooms with red peppers and mozzarella.

– Then cover each stuffed mushroom with one of the remaining mushrooms, foot side down (that is, the feet of each mushroom are face to face).
